Following a weeks holiday in Normandy we are now installed in our little Gîte near Poitiers where we will spend the next three and a half months improving our French. The village, Le Bois de Sairé, where we are staying is quite rural, about a half hour South West of Poitiers itself. The first few days here were a bit of a shock. After having a year of a rather hectic social life, seeing friends, family and visiting churches, we now find ourselves missing all the hustle and bustle.
