Getting Back to Normality
Although this page may say latest you may have noticed that this has not been true. However, just to inform those who may be looking for a fresh bit of information on the Gibsons, we are now officially back in Burkina Faso after a prolonged absence from West Africa. We landed at Ouagadougou airport at approximately 9pm and the amazing thing is... so did all our luggage which actually got through customs without a hitch. Whats more we didnt leave our French and France as it seems to be functioning reasonably well up till now.
Anyway, apart from a few interesting nappies from Sam (quite a few to be exact) we are all in reasonably high spirits. Since we have been in Ouaga Joshua and Amelia have been able to catch up with some of their old friends which all seem to be in Ouaga at this moment for some strange reason!!! However, I never thought we would hear ourselves saying this, but we are now chomping at the bit to get back to that dry and dusty town called Djibo and start getting unpacked and settled in. At present we are without transport and are frantically looking to buy a newer car as our old one has probably seen it best. And so we are stuck in the SIM guest house in the capital with little to keep us all occupied apart from the odd vehicle viewing and figuring out to cook with what is available again in this part of the world, although Joshua and Amelias social calendar has been rather full over the last few days.
We hope to keep you up to date as we get back to normal, but if we dont please prompt us with an e-mail or two.
