3 out of 5 isn't bad!

As odds go we don't do to badly health wise out here. Actually we do pretty well considering. Rainy season, however, is that time of year when the mosquito's multiply and with them the malaria. It's that time of the year when people can least afford to be sick as they head out to their fields to cultivate and yet for many health is often at its worst.

The last two weeks have seen a rapid decrease in health in the Gibson household as buckets have been placed at the side of beds and quinine has been handed out like sweets on sweetie day. The only two people who seemed to have escaped the malaria to date are the youngest and the oldest members of the family. If you are a family member reading this blog don't be too alarmed, this killer disease has been defeated once again and all are back to full health… more or less
